From Tree to Car
This gallery shows the progression of how chunk of burl becomes a car. Using a chain saw the large tree trunk of burl is first sliced into about 10" thick slabs that can then be used by the bandsaw. The smaller 10" slabs are then sliced with the bandsaw to make 1" - 2" thick slabs of wood. That piece will make a beautiful car someday. The thinner wood slices will be left to dry for 6 months to 2 years. Notice each of the slices is dated with its cut date. When their time is up, the slices will be turned into Master's Series Cars. Leftovers are used for pieces are you used for smaller parts and gift items.
